About Resource Map

This map is a state directory of resources serving youth with disabilities that are transitioning into the workforce or higher education.

Through the Improving Transition Outcomes for Youth with Disabilities Project, California is building the capacity of our local communities to bring together youth-serving organizations and institutions to provide the services and supports that youth with disabilities need to successfully transition to work.

One activity of the project is resource mapping, the identification of available assets and resources within the state’s youth service delivery infrastructure and an environmental scan to determine whether and/or to what extent the system is currently serving youth with disabilities. Assets and resources are broad terms that include program services, organizational alliances, common information systems, tools, policies, and practices that comprise a state’s youth workforce development system.
